Borgstein Birds & Zoofood Trading specialises in fruit and insect-eating birds

Our company has grown to become one of the larger import/export wholesalers of its kind in Europe. We specialise in the import, export and wholesaling of fruit and insect‑eating birds, tropical seed-eating birds, park birds, mammals, hobby and zoo feeds, TOVO Universal Feed and related products. We have been closely involved in the cattle feed business since 1970, providing advice and selling a range of feeds to companies in the industry. We started our bird business in 1987.

Our customers consist of importers, exporters, dealers, wholesalers, shops, private individuals and zoos.

Borgstein Birds & Zoofood Trading has its own fully certified quarantine station at Boven‑Leeuwen (Reg. No. NL 13001).

The company is under the veterinary control of a company veterinarian and the Dutch Food and Goods Authority (VWA).
We are affiliated with the Dutch and European associations for importers and exporters of birds and hobby animals.

Our company is approved to transport animals (Reg. No. NL 10405), to trade in birds and animals (Reg. No. NL 16358) and to trade in animal feeds (Reg. No. NL 20330).
